Mr. Wong Hon San (above), CEO and founder Of 3GIT.

Mr. Wong graduated from the University of Malaya with a BE (Hons) in Mechanical Engineering in 1968. He is a registered Professional Engineer with the Board of Engineers, Malaysia and a Chartered Engineer with the CEI, UK and a Corporate Member of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers.

Mr. Wong founded the 3G Group of Companies in 2002 after having spent almost 30 years working in the various industries in Malaysia and Singapore. In view of his qualifications and vast commercial and industrial experience, Mr. Wong was appointed a mentor by the Malaysian Venture Management Berhad (MAVCAP) for CIP entrepreneurs.

Dr.Wong, President of 3GIT, graduated with BSE (highest honors) from Princeton University, Princeton, New Jersey, USA, in 1992, and M.Sc. and PhD from Stanford University, California, USA, in 1994 and 1998, respectively in Electrical Engineering.

Dr.Wong is a Senior Member Of IEEE and is Certified as a Wireless Communication Professional (WCP) by IEEE. He is also Certified CCNA and CCNP by Cisco.He worked as a Research Scientist at Telcordia Technologies in New Jersey from 1998 to 2003. He was involved in Research, Development, Design, and Prototyping of Wireless Communications Systems. From 2003 to 2008, he was on the faculty of the ICT Department Of the Malaysia University of Science and Technology.

Dr.Wong is listed in the Marquis “Who’s Who in American”, and “Who’s Who in Science and Engineering”. He was also elected “The Outstanding Young Malaysian in Science and Technology 2007”. He is the author of two books Wireless Internet Telecommunications published by Artech House and Fundamentals of Wireless Communication Engineering published by J. Wiley. He has written and published more than 70 research papers on Wireless Communications and Networking, and has been awarded several patents in the United States and Taiwan.
